Are you in date?

The use by date is displayed on most products – usually a small jar symbol with a number indicates how many months the product can be safely used or just an expiry date.

Everytime you lift the lid of your products, you let air in that can oxidize it – reducing its life. So – remember to close lids at once after removing the product needed.

Infections or skin reactions are common if you use something for too long.

Using a spatula or ensuring you have freshly washed hands when removing products from its container will help ward off bacteria.

Health tip with Anna:

Autumn is synonymous with the apple harvest. Rich in dietary fiber, antioxidants and flavonoids both of which can help to reduce the oxidation of LDC cholesterol thus inhibiting the growth of dangerous plaques along the blood vessel walls. Apples make for a delicious and nutritious snack that can be enjoyed any time of the day.
